Who Are We, What Do we do?
Wastey Food is a group of young activists from different backgrounds. We met through the Change Creators project which is run through Knowle West Media Centre. Our Aim is to reduce household food waste in Bristol. We aim to do this by educating people about their own personal food waste habits instead of using the national facts and statistics that can be difficult to comprehend.

Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC)
Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC) is an arts organisation and charity that has been based in Knowle West, South Bristol, since 1996.
KWMC supports people to make positive changes in their lives and communities - using technology and the arts to come up with creative solutions to problems and explore new ways of doing things. KWMC’s activities range from after-school groups for young people exploring media, technology and creative careers to a wide-ranging arts programme including exhibitions and artist residencies.

Change Creators
Change Creators is Knowle West Media Centre’s creative leadership programme for 18-25 year olds who want to make a positive difference in the world using the power of arts, media and technology. During the programme young people work in a small team to identify issues they care about, then use new technologies in creative ways to develop a social change campaign.
As well as developing transferable skills (such as project management, team building and public speaking), Change Creators get the opportunity to connect with leaders locally, nationally and internationally, and have real experiences of leading.
